Owl in the Sun

Owl in the Sun write and perform heartfelt songs with catchy melodies and tight vocal harmonies that take you on a journey from the dark and edgy to the exuberance and fizz of the French Café. Their on-stage joy is infectious, and the line-up of upright bass, acoustic guitars, accordion, violin, flute and washboard lift you from gently tapping your toes to dancing your socks off.
The Owls have performed at Glastonbury Festival (via BBC Introducing) and are regulars at Purbeck Valley Folk Festival and other festivals throughout the Southwest. They have been played multiple times by Bob Harris on Radio 2 and have been playlisted on Radio 1. The band featured in the ‘Top 30 bands pushing the roots music envelope in Europe’ by American magazine ‘The Alternate Root’.
Their fourth album, ‘Into the Winter’s Night’ is launched in March 2026.
