Jeri Foreman (Artist-At-Large)

Jeri Foreman is a multifaceted musician, playing fiddle in Scotland, though originally from Adelaide, South Australia. Fascinated by finding similarities and differences in fiddle traditions, she spent eight months travelling through Europe and North America, learning about different musical styles and sharing tunes along the way, before settling in Glasgow eight years ago. She now performs all over the world, with a wide variety of acts, across several genres.

Her own projects currently include The Fountaineers (bluegrass band), duos with Grace Honeywell (bluegrass) and Ruth Eliza (old time), as well as Point Five Ceilidh Band (Scottish trad). Jeri also performs as a session musician with acts as diverse as traditional Scots singers, Americana bands, prog rock bands, jazz guitarists, country singers and ceilidh bands. Her awards include the 2016 Australian Bluegrass Scholarship (first female awarded), the 2014 Golden Fiddle Award for “Best Composition” and the 2009 Peter Daly Award (for finest performance of Celtic music by Australians) at the National Folk Festival. She has performed in countries as far flung as Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, Switzerland, UK and USA.
