Inspired by his musical roots of blues and folk music John Dearness took to composing his own songs releasing 3 albums the first of which being 12 in Jade in 2023. Orkney is also his source of inspiration its natural beauty, people, past, present and future all drive his lyrics.
Deep Roots Last comprises of: John Dearness Guitar and vocals, his sister Elizabeth Duncan fiddle, bass and vocals, Douglas Montgomery fiddle and guitar and Erik Laughton drums and percussion.
