‘Colin Nicholson and Friends’ is a working title for a band which indeed includes Colin Nicholson and a group of his friends, who — like many other Orkney bands — came together for a one-off, local fundraiser and quickly realised they quite enjoy playing together.
With Colin Nicholson on accordion, Graham Rorie and Alice Tait on fiddle, John Lowrie on keys, Marcus Cordock on bass and Will Scott on drums, the group brings together musicians with various backgrounds which inform the band’s sound.
