Terms & Conditions

General

1. These Terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) incorporate any vendors’ and/or agents’ terms or rules, which you can get from the official ticket agent. Your possession of a ticket constitutes your acceptance of these T&Cs.
2. “Us”, “We”, “Our” means Water Sound Bluegrass and Roots Festival / Burray Community Association and/or their representatives, employees and sub-contractors.
3. There may be safety restrictions in place to help manage the site, and it expected that all those attending the will follow all recommendations provided by stewards or event staff.
4. We reserve the right to refuse admission or to remove any person from the site, without refund, for reasons of public safety, any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury, or for any breach of these T&Cs.
5. Tickets are for the event and any billed Artists and attractions may be subject to change.
6. No trading or promotional activity is allowed within the site without our prior written consent.
7. By attending the festival, consent is assumed for inclusion in any audio or visual recording used in any media for any purpose at any time.
8. These T&Cs are subject to change from time to time in our sole discretion and we will notify you by posting the amended T&Cs to the event website.
9. We shall have no liability for any loss, injury, illness or damage to any person or property sustained at the event howsoever caused. Any personal property brought to the event is at your own risk.
10. These T&Cs are governed by Scottish Law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with these T&Cs shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

Refunds

1. Refunds are only considered if the event is cancelled in full and not rescheduled.                        
2. Refunds must be requested from the point of purchase, no later than three months after the Event.
3. Refunds will apply to the value of the ticket. Extra charges such as booking fees, administration fees, or card processing fees will not be refunded. Water Sound Bluegrass and Roots Festival’s liability will be to the customer who made the original purchase and will be limited to the cost of the tickets purchased.
4. Personal arrangements relating to the event including, but not limited to, travel, subsistence and accommodation are at your own risk and we shall not be liable for any losses incurred from personal arrangements or wasted expenditure beyond the ticket refund.

Age policy

1. Adults aged 18 and over require an Adult ticket to attend the festival.
2. Young people aged 13–17 require a Young Person ticket.
3. Children 12 or under require a Child ticket and must be accompanied by a paying adult.
4. The organisers do not accept any parental or supervisory duty of care for under 18s on site.
5. Wristbands will be issued at the wristband exchange in Burray Hall.

Tickets and wristbands

1. Tickets must be presented in order for you to receive a wristband on first entry.
2. Wristbands can be collected from the Burray Community Hall.
3. Only wristbands issued by the event in exchange for a valid ticket are valid for entry. Tickets and wristbands from unauthorised sources may be rendered invalid and admission refused. 
4. We will not issue duplicates for lost, stolen or damaged tickets or wristbands.
5. Tickets cannot be used as part of any marketing, media or sales promotion, without our prior written consent.
6. If you have obtained your ticket in breach of these T&Cs and/or if you breach any of these T&Cs then your ticket shall be void, and all rights conferred on you or evidenced by such ticket shall be void. If you seek to gain entry to the event using a void ticket then we reserve the right to refuse you entry to or evict you from the event. Void tickets are non-refundable.
7. Wristbands are strictly non-transferable and will be invalid if removed, tampered with, transferred or resold. Wristbands must be worn at all times for the duration of the event. You are permitted to resell your tickets at your own discretion. Water Sound Bluegrass and Roots Festival will not do this your behalf either in advance of, or during the festival.

Security

1. Searching is a condition of entry and you may be searched anywhere on site at any time by security staff.
2. Without liability to you, we shall be entitled to confiscate any item(s) which may reasonably be considered to be a weapon (or used as a weapon) or which may cause danger, offence or disruption to any other person.
3. If it is suspected or found that a person is in possession of illegal items onsite, the police will be informed. If asked to leave the site because of this, no refunds will be given.

Banned items

1. Banned from Event – any item which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon, any kind of fires, firewood, animals (other than registered guide or hearing dogs).
2. No alcoholic drinks are allowed to be fetched onto the site without prior consent.
3. No unauthorised vehicles are allowed on site.
4. The use of disposable BBQs, solid fuel stoves & camp cookers are only permitted in designated camping area.
5. Only photographic equipment for personal and non-commercial use is permitted.
6. The use of drones (including toy drones) or similar is prohibited on or near the event.
7. If observed onsite with prohibited items you will be asked to leave the site and no refunds will be given.

Health & safety

1. Fires and the burning of any materials is not permitted anywhere on the event site.
2. Smoking (including e-cigarettes and/or vaping) is not permitted in enclosed public spaces or buildings including marquees.
3. Excessive exposure to loud music may cause damage to your hearing.
4. All those attending the Event do so at their own risk.
