The Smoking Stone Band are returning to the stage after a thirty year hiatus, from the days when they had audiences dancing on bars to their infectious blend of what was described as Traditional Scottish Bluegrass. Comprising of Douglas Montgomery on fiddle, Jim Hall on five string banjo and Dick Levens on electric mandolin, they are joined on double bass by Tom Montgomery for this special event. The band played extensively at home in Orkney and abroad to dazzling reviews in the mid 1990’s before individually moving on to other projects, leaving behind the ghost of good times with their singular CD “Coming Through”. This one and only performance sees them coming back to a stage on Burray where it all began. Not to be missed!
